So, lets say this is 2017 right now and the results are the same in the CFB playoff rankings. Big12 CCG a good thing or nah?

I just see this as being more style that substance. The Big 12 can now say they have a CCG even though it doesn't really serve a purpose. The two teams will have already played head to head. There really doesn't seam to be any gain from beating a team twice, but there is potential for a big loss. What does the conference gain, other than being able to claim they have a Championship Game? Well that and the money the game will make?
I know.....I'm excited about that Roadrunner game.
Honestly though, you can't have a top 10 match-up every week.
Aggie has played one top 10 team and was curbstomped. Not sure where you are getting every week.
A&M played back to back games against top 10 teams with a bye week between games. The Vols were ranked #9 and Bama #1.
Rankings at the time mean dick. Some of you tards need to get that through your thick skulls.
No they do mean something, dipshit. When you beat them the ranking goes down and you are actually penalized for winning.
However, based on your way of thinking OU has only played 1 ranked team and got bitch slapped. How does OU rate being ranked for that cream pie schedule.
No, dipshit they don't. Tennessee is not and never was a Top 10 team. Take your aggy logic and shove it up your ass, tard.
Yes, they were ranked in the top 10. Look it up dumbass.
As for shoving things up my ass, I'll pass. It's fine if you enjoy shoving things up your ass, but don't expect everyone to enjoy your favorite activities.
Just because they were ranked doesn't mean they were a top 10 caliber team. Tennessee was never a top 10 caliber team. Just because they were overrated doesn't mean you get to claim you beat a top 10 win. Go get your money back for your degree because your reading comprehension sucks. Your aggy wit is also lame as well.
In spite of your opinion, Tennessee was ranked #9. It goes down in the history books as beating the #9 ranked team. It doesn't matter if you like it or not, your fucking idea of what the Vols. should have been ranked doesn't matter. It's also a better win than anything on the Sooner's resume this year.
Maybe you should ask for a refund for your OU degree because it didn't make you the NCAA Football Czar that you imagine yourself to be.
I hate to defend an Aggie, but they do mean something. As a fan it is great to go to a game and think you are playing a top 10 team. I was excited for ND. Turned out ND sucked, but on that 1 day in September I was excited to beat a top 10 team. It means nothing now. It shouldn't be used to prop up your team, but it certainly adds to a fans excitement on game day
Yes, but you're making an important distinction between fan experience and calling that an actual quality win. Aggy over here is calling Tennessee a quality win when it's clearly not.
Well too many people were salty that the BigXII could get a team in without playing a CCG. Especially the mommyship because that's money just out there on the table. Why the Big 12's (perhaps unwisely) adding a conference title game
So the Big 12 is going to have a Conference Championship game between teams that have already played a head to head match up.
They are using the argument that it will give another "data point" for the Big 12 Champ to get into the CFB Playoff.
How does that work? If Team #1 has already beaten Team #2, how is beating them again going to impress the committee? What happens when Team #2 upsets Team #1? IMO the risk vs. reward doesn't work out to well.

So beating a team that was ranked #9 at game time and is currently ranked at #19 in CFP doesn't count as a quality win?
If you want to talk quality wins, where is OU's quality win?
