Which would you chose to start, Alfred Blue v. Cleveland or Ryan Mathews against Oakland?
I'm saying Mathews. Blue isn't very good, yes he'll get volume, but with Mallet making his first career start, volume is in no way a guarantee to get results. The Browns will put Haden on Andre and stack the box as high as possible. No way Oakland shuts down any aspect of the Chargers offense
Cleveland is much harder to run on than Oakland...another reason to go with Mathews.

Oakland gives up 3.8 YDS/A, Cleveland 4.7YDS/A and Cleveland has a better passing defense. Mathews 1st game back so I'm sure Oliver will get his share of carries while Blue will carry the workload for Houston (who has Mallett starting at QB). I'm starting Blue in 3 leagues.
true, however there have been far more attempts rushing against oakland than cleveland the YPC is glaring.........oaklands YPC ranks 8th, clevelands 4.7 is 31st.........oaklands rush d rank is merely a matter of volume
oakland has been rushed on 52 more times than cleveland and allowed thirty less yards than cleveland
They're currently sitting at 27th (oakland) at 28th (cleveland) in rushing yards allowed power game, so they're both easy to run on. The big difference is one has a very good QB directing the offense, the other had a guy that has attempted a whopping 4 passes in 2 and a half years.
I honestly don't care about per carry... you don't score a RB's YPC.. you score his total on the game. . And in a full game the a Raiders allow only slightly less. Oliver put 100 on them earlier, same offense, same defense, different, better, RB..results will be at minimum similar, likely even better.
You get more 1st downs which you need to score, right? I guess we'll know by days end.
