2013 and 2014 were looked as some of, if not the best years since the mighty 2003 draft. I've been following these drafts and they truly look deep.

Possible Norris winner. Some legit two-way players. Star offensive forwards in 2014.

2014 has Aaron Ekblad, Sam Reinhart, Sam Bennett, William Nylander, Dylan Larkin, Leon Drastile, Nikolaj Nylander (cool part here is the nationality), and legit depth at the bottom of the draft like already NHL player David Pastrnak, Robby Fabri and Aaron Kemp

2013 again has some legit depth too. 19 players in the first round have played an NHL game . Those who have not look surely to do so like Ryan Pulok, Anthony Mantha, Shea Thedore, and Max Domi. Top talent includes Nathan MacKinnon, Seth Jones, Jonathan Drouin, Alex Barkov, Sean Monahan, and Curtis Lazar. Screams everything.

Of course 2015 will be known for it's top tier elite talent.

For my team 2013 is the great one. They got;
Alex Wennberg (Already the third line center and was there the whole season)
Kerby Rychel (Mentioned in Friedman's 30 thoughts as one to watch)
Marko Dano (Could be a star, and helped us land Brandon Saad in a trade)
Dillon Heatherington (potential to land the Jackets 7D spot this year, possible AHL team captain if not)
Oliver Bjorkstrand (WHL Terror and guy with 11 points in four games at the prospects tourney. One of the games the team was shut out)

That's what you call a franchise draft.

2014 was not thought of as a particularly strong draft. We'll have to wait and see how good it actually is.

This past year's draft is supposed to be the best since 2003.

Between 2013 and 2014 I'd predict that 2013 will turn out to be the better year.

Although Elias Lindholm showed some promise late last season, I'm still very happy that the Canes selected Lindholm and left Moneyhands for the Flames.

Still early but Monahan has becoming a scorer a lot more quickly than I had expected.

I still think Lindholm will be an excellent player but he'll be hard pressed to put up numbers like Monahan did last year anytime soon.

2015 really isn't that strong past the top five to be honest. I'd take players like William Nylander and Nikolaj Ehlers over Pavel Zacha, and I'm a Zacha fan. 2013 was compared to 2-013. Won't be as high end but the depth is incredible.

Using your ironclad perception of the future, can you tell me how many games Johan Franzen will play this season? Asking for a friend.

Which makes me wonder why Francis didn't dump Staal Squared and Skinner and go on rebuilding around Lindholm, Faulk and Hanifin. Unless he tried and Staal just wasn't willing to move and/or Karmanos didn't wanna eat any salary.

Yet the draft was talked about over and over, by drafting analysts about the lack of depth. Maybe you should fist yourself to find out.
