Obviously I will not go into to it expecting BB quality but I think it will be very good. Early reviews are giving positive praise for it so that is a good start.


I also like the long term potential with it being able to take place before, during and after BB. Should make all characters fair game at some point.

The biggest draw for me to watch this show is the obvious flashbacks to "pre-Breaking Bad" characters. It will be a lot of what they were doing before the drug/killing, etc., started happening.

Yea it will be hard to separate this from BB... BB was probably one of the best shows ever made, IMO.

But I will definitely watch. The writers are simply too good to not give it a chance.

I read a piece recently where the author had an advanced screening of the first 3 episodes. His take is while its a separate show and doesn't try to be BB in much of any way, BB fans will definitely like it.

Exactly what I want to hear. If it only measures up to half of what BB was, then it will be a great show!

I just finished BB a few weeks ago.

I was watching it knowing Saul had his own show coming out... And it made me appreciate his character a bit more...

I was thinking it has to be a comedy?

I never had that much trouble with it. What I did feel was a stretch was that it all happened in 2 years (plot wise).

One year ago, my sister-in-law had a great job, two healthy kids, a decent home.


Currently, she is living in a car somewhere, shooting up meth all day and nite. Her kids now live with the Father,(her ex) and she is wanted for major check fraud.



I realize that this proves nothing, nor am I justifying the time-span in the plot. Just saying, allot can happen in just a couple years.

I like the first episode so far. Jimmy McGill seems like good lawyer that got forced to become a scumbag and fell into the wrong case, whether it was intended or not.
