By seasons end, who do you think will be the leading TE in the North? I feel we are in the running this year and that alone feels real good.

Detroits Pettigrew , is probably the best underutilized TE in the north. Seems to always make plays VS us. Agree w/ rich, Minny also has a good TE, but I think they get the max out of him.
Bennet, I just haven't seen enough to comment on. I know he had a good yr last season. But that was his first 1. I really have got to see him play more. Don't think I saw any Giants games last yr.

Pettigrew cant hold on to a ball to save his life. Twice he got stripped against te Titans last year. He's also slow as hell. He's not horrible, but I would expect more from such a high pick.

Rudolph won't get the ball as much this year, Minny has more WR targets now. Bennett I know little about. Finley is a freak but very inconsistent. Pettigrew seems pretty average. It's gonna be a tight race.

Bennett 55 catches 626 yds 5 tds
Rudolph 53 493 9 tds
Finely 61 667 2 tds
Pettigrew 59 567 3tds
All had between 90 and 100 targets.

I think Bennett should have a productive season. Let's just hope that translates to 11 wins...

I think that actually helps him, the WR's will take the top off the defense giving him more opportunities in the middle of the field.
All speculation of course, I think they're all good. But I wouldn't rule out Rudolph for sure, the guy has great hands.

The only real problem will be Ponder, no doubt as of now the worst QB in the North.

Good question.
Packers had high hopes for Finley, but his stone hands are dropping his effectiveness (along with passes and McCarthy's patience).
Rudolph put up some nice numbers for the Vikes last season. Call it a hunch but I feel that the addition of Greg Jennings takes some opportunities away from Rudolph. Unless Ponder makes some huge strides, I don't see Rudolph's numbers increasing much, if at all.
Pettigrew is probably the best "talented" TE in the division. But Megatron gets all the redzone looks. And the addition of Reggie Bush can't help Pettigrew's value.
Bennett may do well if Trestman is as pass-happy as advertized.

He always looks like an all Pro vs the Bears. I'd love to see him have couple bad games.

I actually think Bennett has the best chance to put up big numbers of em' all.

Vikes run too much, and Ponder is still meh, to me.

Packers have the best WR corps of the bunch, and Finley can get lost amongst them.

Pettigrew is talented but dumb, and Stafford likes his receivers.

Bears have Marshall, and then it drops off dramatically from there.

There is a strong chance, that Bennett could be the Bears 2nd leading receiver this year.

btw...excellent offseason addition. Greg Olsen?? Who's that?

I'm not ruling him out at all. Jennings will open things up for him and Ponder is best at the underneath throws. He is not a deep ball passer. But I do see MN spreading the ball out more.

I have to disagree with this. Bears have marshal, AJ, Bennett, Bennett, Forte. Now we have a real offensive coach. I think we have a great group and now will spread the ball around.

Forte is the next most consistent receiver next to Marshall, and he's a RB. I like Earl, but he can't stay healthy. I like Alshon, but he is not proven he can stay healthy either.

I think Martellus Bennett is THE REASON the ball will get more spread around this year. A legitimate threat at the TE spot will help Earl and AJ.

They gotta stay healthy though.
