Best Song Ever Written

So I constantly ask myself, self what is the best song ever written in your opinion? I find myself mainly sticking to the great American song writers, in my preferred genre of music with one or two exceptions. I think, for me it comes down to few guys, Bob Seger, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan, Springsteen, Paul Simon mainly because these guys have written so many great songs. Then there are one hit wonders to consider, Don McLean (SP?) comes to mind. So my challenge to all and I hope you think this over if you could pick one, one song as best written song what would it be? I think we have to include the way the lyrics and music work together not lyrics alone.

Well for anyone that feels they can narrow it down to one song please post it. I think I need a few more day's with this.

I can't do it, I cannot narrow it down to one song. I can do a favorite song but this may just be next to impossible at least for me.
