Troy Aikman is the most overrated player in NFL history. 165 career TD passes? 199 YPG? An 81.6 rating? Behind the best line in the league for many of those years.
He's like a mistake-prone, relatively inaccurate, and slow Russell Wilson. As I said in the other thread, how the fuck did Aaron Rodgers not make it but Aikman does?

"Relatively inaccurate?" You kidding me? He was a surgeon.
The only years where he went over 60% completion were the years where he dumped it off to Emmitt 50 times and had a prime Irvin. When his weapons weren't there to bail him out, he fizzled. To be fair, my memories of Aikman tend to be towards the end of his career, but he never struck me as accurate.

Elway is overrated as well. Favre, Elway, and Aikman are the holy trinity of overrated QBs.

If I had to have a QB absolutely, positively make a crucial pass into a tight window, I'd take Troy Aikman all damn day. I just chuckle at the classic tactic of criticizing a QB by saying he had weapons.
