It was the best of the series, yes, but I would argue that Batman Begins actually redefined the genre. Dark Knight just brought that change to the next level.

Yep, yep, Black and White, GREAT satirical movie (but outdated) on the Cold War.

Ok now. What do you mean by outdated ? Hopefully you mean the cold war fears are outdated and not the satirical brilliance of the movie... for which Peter Sellers was absolutely robbed of the best actor oscar award.

Yeah it was ok. But I watched it once and have no desire to see it again. Then there's Die Hard which I've probably seen a dozen times and thoroughly enjoy, but I wouldn't exactly call it some sort of cinematic classic.

The Cold War fears and the mentality are outdated. black and white. I don't even know if the term MAD had been created yet.

You have to have a feel for that to really appreciate the brilliance of the movie and it is brilliant.

If I mentioned the factoid that Sellers may have modeled his character of Dr Strangelove on Henry Kissinger a number on this thread will say "Who?"

Oh no. One of my favorites of all time.
