Normally I would go with Skins/Bengals but I'm sure it will be awful since its in the UK.

Something tells me the Cowboys stomp the Eagles out by double digits. I'm going with Patriots/Bills

Several good ones this week...I voted PHI @ DAL...but GB @ ATL is big...BUF @ NE would have been better if BUF had won last week, but still should be a decent game. SD @ DEN might not be a marquee game but should be pretty interesting.

You think that happens in Philly? I don't see that happening for a division game on the road.

Philly/Dallas.

It'll be fun to watch Dak vs Weintz and see if the Eagles D can slow down Zeke. Good battles between these two clubs.

Well I take that back. I thought it was in Dallas for some reason.

I'm going with Bills / Pats. If the Pats come out like they did last week Rex will have a great time in the post game interview. Can't let them win twice.

Dallas and Philly should be a good battle. Cincy and Washington should be entertaining as will the Packers/Falcons match-up. I don't see San Diego giving Denver too much trouble however I hope I'm wrong.

I went with the Patriots/Bills game. :D

New England doesn't get swept by division opponents very often and this rematch in Buffalo should be quite the slobber-knocker.

My heart tells me to pick the Eagles. I am a fan and it is the obvious choice. However if I am going to be honest with myself I have to pick the Cowboys. My reasoning is that they have too much firepower on offense for the Eagles to overcome. Elliot, Prescott (dangerous runner), Dez and Witten and throw in the best offensive line in the NFL and two weeks to prepare. Doesn't sound good does it?

With that said. It is not going to be a blowout. The Eagles are going to put points on the board. I just don't think the will outshoot the Cowboys. The Vikings have a superb defense and Wentz did manage a couple decent drives against them. He made the typical rookie mistakes and was horrible in the 1st qtr but I have to give credit to the Vikes defense as well.

The Eagles have the #5 overall defense in the NFL. If you go to the stats on ESPN it says #2 because it is based on total yards allowed. I sorted by yards allowed per game. I think that is an accurate reflection. So overall they are #5....5th vs. the pass and 14th vs. the run. They are the are 2nd in the NFL in points per game allowing only 14.7 points (2 leaders are tied with 14.0) . So which defense shows up? That is the question. They are going to have their hands full with Zeke Elliot and need to maintain the same gap discipline they did vs the Vikes.....however....the Vikes do not have a Zeke Elliot on their team.

Some Cowboys fans have said they have a bad defense. I was not too sure about that and still am not. However the rankings may be correct. The Cowboys defense is ranked 17th. They are 21st vs the pass and 10th vs the run. They are 7th in the NFL at 17.8 points per game. So they have to be doing something right.

I think the game can come down to intangiables on defense but only if it is close. I think Cowboys major weakness is on the defensive line. They do not get at the QB well. They only have 11 sacks going into this weeks game compared to the Eagles 20. The secondary can be had as well as they have given up 10 TD passes but I am not so sure that is a bad number. The top teams have given up only 4 (Eagles 6). The Cowboys are middle of the pack. They are bend but not break IMO. They give up the yards but the Cowboys are stingy when it comes to points.

Offensively we are looking at a completely different picture. The Cowboys are 3rd in the NFL in yards are 401 per game and the Eagles are 28th are 322 per game. The Cowboys are 19th in pass offense and 1st and rush offense. The Eagles are 29th in the pass and and 17th in the run. So you would think that offensively the Cowboys are far superior. What is suprising is the points per game totals. The Cowboys are 7th at 26.5 ppg and the Eagles are 9th at 26.0 ppg. The Eagles have 8 pass TD's the Cowboys have 7 pass TD's. The running game is the real difference. The Cowboys lead the NFL with 11 rush TD's. The Eagles are tied for 15th with 7 other teams with 5 rush TD's.

The plan is simple when you put it in words. Stop Zeke Elliott and you stop the Cowboys. That is easier said than done.

My prediction. Cowboys 31 Eagles 27

I say Dallas game,
but choice 2 would be falcons game. The reason being is Dallas has division lead implications, and the Falcons game could be wild card implications ( regardless of how early in the season it still is).
