Not buying this either. Who cares if he brought a title to Cleveland besides their fans. There's no extra credit. How many titles had the Bulls won before MJ? How many titles had the Spurs won before Timmy? No one is giving them extra credit.

I should have been more specific & said the title drought the city of Cleveland went though, my bad. My point was the city of Cleveland went through a 52 year title drought. You mentioned the Bulls. Before MJ won his 1st in '91 how many years did the Windy City go between titles? It wasn't anywhere close to 5+ decades. And S.A., if you wanna count their years in the ABA as the Chaparrals they got started in '67. Became the Spurs in '73 & joined the NBA in '76. So they haven't even been an NBA franchise for 50+ years. But they waited some time to raise their 1st banner.

Still doesn't give him any extra credit. The Bears won in '85, other than that I think it was at least the '20's or 30's before (too lazy to look it up). The Blackhawks may have one in there, but I don't follow hockey.

I didn't give him any extra credit though @ all. You brought up the extra credit stuff. Saying he brought a title to Cleveland & ended the cities title drought isn't giving extra credit, it's stating a fact. Like I said in my other comment this morning I was only talking about the city of Cleveland's 5+ decades w/o raising a banner. And I don't follow hockey either.

You ready for today's NFL action?

lol Just re-read what you wrote. Looks like I misunderstood it. Yeah, ending Cleveland's title drought will be his legacy, no doubt (unless he leaves again lol). I guess I'm just too used to Lebroniacs trying to give him extra credit because it's Cleveland.

You ready for today's NFL action?

Gonna be working. So, I won't get to see much other than part of the morning games.

I think its hard to make an argument against LeBron.

Duncan has the edge over LeBron in defense and rebounding. LeBron has pretty much everything else.

The differences in rings is not much, LeBron and Shaq had 3 in their first 13 years, Kobe & Duncan each had 4.

I think it's tougher to find replacements at C and PF for Shaq or Timmy. But it's hard to ignore LeBrons greatness. Other than nobody has ever been surrounded by more talent than he was in Miami. Other than his teammates.

My Top 10.

1.Kobe Bryant
2.Tim Duncan
3.Lebron James
4.Shaq
5.Kevin Garnett
6.Dirk
7.Steve Nash
8.D-Wade
9.Allen Iverson
10.Jason Kidd
I like Kobe @ #1 too. I would easily put Duncan @ #1b. I give them the edge simply because they were the only two that stayed with the same team their entire career while piling on the accolades. (other than Dirk, but Dirk only gave full effort on one end of the court)

I think the general consensus is that LeBron should occupy the #1 spot post-Jordan. I think he has the best and strongest argument- of course, having just turned 32 years old, he has PLENTY of time to separate himself from the pack.

One more ring and Finals MVP would really go a long way in definitively settling the deal though. ESPECIALLY if done against a perceived "super team" that is a heavy favorite. If there was one of those around.....

Be careful what you wish for....

But yeah, another title for Cleveland in the next 2 years would put LeBron well ahead of all those players and in the discussion for #2 of all time.

yah...because talent is just so subjective...accolades isnt everything -but it at least gives you a concrete basis which to base your argument off of.- i acknowledge their are deficiencies from that approach though.

I accidentally said Wiggy, I was talking about the people who didn't put LeBron at the top. Since he is trailing in titles right now.

Stat wise Westbrook will be on every list. What he wins might be another story. A great player, but the lists above look very sharp.

Depends on how you meausure.

His raw stats are great, but he is not very efficient. Of course, how many players with 40% usage are? Still, in my book, there are enough players who post big numbers while playing efficiently who have played in the last 20 years to keep Russ off my list, at least for now.

You, sir, are correct.

Good catch, not sure what happened there, but yes he has 4. Should've been 5 straight if you ask me. Derrick Rose really benefited from everyone hating LeBron that season.

This is pretty darn close to how I would rank them. Not completely sold on Nash at 10, but I also have no idea who I would insert in his place.

The only other change I would make for my personal rank would be to swap Dirk and KG.
