2009 has Jordan, David Robinson and John Stockton

2016 has Shaq, AI and Yao

2020 will have Kobe, Duncan and Garnett.

Can't remember the older ones off the top of my head.

Ewing, Olajuwon, Dantley, Pat Riley, and Dick Vitale was a solid one in 2008.

When judging players, I'm definitely a ring whore.....within context. KG was definitely better than his ring count (1 ring) suggests. But he's not compared as an all-time talent. With this class, KG/Duncan/Kobe will without a doubt all be 1st ballot HOF's.

But two of those guys are in just about everyone's all-time top 10. This past class is great, but AI and Yao (who's career was riddled with injuries) aren't compared to all-time greats.

I think the 2009 comes in a very close second given that it has the GOAT. John Stockton is also the 2nd best PG, IMO.

JORDAN was such an insufferable dick at his HOF moment, that the 2009 class was diminished.

AI did what was expected. He cried like a baby nonstop and kept it real.
It rambled a bit, but it seemed sincere. He came across as a legitimate grateful and humbled HOF.

Jordan was the biggest douchebag as usual when he got his nod.

If the internet social media and high speed access had existed in the 1980s and 1990s like it is today.....
Jordan would have been hated worse than Lebron.

Probably...

I really did like AI's speech. I know he thanked everyone to ever shake his hand it seemed, but wow. And I really enjoyed the story of the first time he went up against MJ. That was great.

You could possibly add Bosh and Pierce to the 2021 list in addition to Kobe, KG, and Duncan.

Definitely the best class featuring competitors and defenders. I cant count all the Defensive NBA teams these guys had.

1980: Jerry Lucas, Oscar Robertson & Jerry West. Not a bad HOF class.
