From any time, spanning from the Hannan deal to the Fredrick Modin deal. Which do you think looks the best as of right now? Obviously this becomes clearer with time, but as of right now, what's your guess?

I think Boston did best.

Kaberle, Kelly, Peverly adds to a lot of parts of the game.
they didn't give up much, either.

Maybe that's a better way to put it, which team wins as we look at post-deadline rosters?
Boston did great things this year, getting guys that won't merely be rentals, so I'd agree with that prognosis.

Jackets didn't do so bad either.

Their forward corp is now:
Nash, Brassard, Huselius, Vermette, Umberger, Upshall, Calvert, Dorsett, Andrew Murray, Pahlsson, Chris Clark, Moreau, Boll, MacKenzie and Voracek. With guys like Wilson and Filatov waiting.

D is now:
Russell, Clitsome, Hejda, Tyutin, Lepisto, Methot, Rivet, and Stralman

Options, people. Options. They make the dance, they have some depth.

Still Think Boston did better, but...

Best trade of the season is probably the Blues getting Stewart and Shattenkirk.

The two I think will end up being best are Fisher to Nashville & Penner to LA.

I give Ottawa the edge over the Preds because I don't think the Preds will make the playoffs because of their lack of offense. Murray might have gotten a top 14 pick.

Edmonton got virtually nothing for Penner. Teubert was 4th on the depthchart in Manchester. Who the Oilers pick between 20 & 30 is anyones guess. I compare this deal to the Ryan Smyth trade. They got Robert Nilsson, Ryan O'Marra & a 1st round pick in 2007 (D Alex Plante) Nilsson is in the KHL. O'Marra isn't going to be an NHLer & Plante is still developing.

Like dash says as long as Lowe & Tambellini are in charge of the Oilers they will always be in Neutral.
