Been awhile since we did this one so lets give it a whirl. Give me the best 16 teams in the country, regardless of current rank. Just the 16 best teams you think are playing in CBB right now. Ill start.

Why? Texas is 5-1 over their last 6 games, while KState is 3-3.

Yep. I think OSU can make a case for top 16 with a win over Michigan. Their overall body of work still isnt as good as Iowa or Wisconsin despite the recent wins over the Hawks and Badgers.

aww don't get salty on us, it's just our opinion.

But I don't think many people will give OSU the benefit of the doubt in this one. That ugly slide they had hurt their image a LOT. Plus, scoring...and shooting...<---- do i need to go on?

I still legit think OSU has a team that can make a S16/Elite 8 type run with the right kind of draw. Any team that plays D like the Buckeyes has a shot and the offense does seem to be clicking a bit more now.

Why? Texas is 5-1 over their last 6 games, while KState is 3-3.

Texas beat K State at home by 3 and lost big at K State.

It's hard for me to even rank past about 13. Im only really sold on about 10 and can see potential in around 3 others.

Other then that its basically trying to fill in open space

I still say the Big 10 is a weird conf this year and I don't see any team as having the clear cut advantage anymore. Even the teams at the bottom of the conf are scary to play!

Maybe, but OSU took them to overtime on their home court when they were healthy. They may be the best overall, but I don't know about heads and shoulders.

It's really hard for me to say after the top five/six. I look for the teams that play tough defense consistently. If you can do that, then you always got a shot.

nah. they hadn't been healthy since the 04DEC UNC debacle.
Payne shouldn't have played at all...didn't start...was his last game for the next month. (although he was one of the keys to the win, I remember saying afterward that I admired Payne for possibly sacrificing an NBA career just to beat the Buckeyes.) Appling had cramped legs the whole game. Trice was in bed with the flu. LOL, and Dawson's head was on Saturn. State absolutely fucking DOMINATED that game...was up 17 late in the 2nd half...then absolutely fucking LAID DOWN AND DIED (and almost lost in regulation). Should have been a blowout and everybody knows it. I liked Appling's explanation the best, though: "We kind of let our foot off the gas," Appling said.
