Game Thread: Bengals vs Chiefs pre-season game 2

A lot of counter and power runs with guards and tackles pulling. Overall, very successful with those runs.

Other than a few bumps, OL has looked good.

A typical Dalton play...

3rd and 2....throws to a well covered AJ Green, and didn't even give him a chance as he threw it 5 yards out of the back endzone. Mid-season form. Didn't even look to option #2 or 3....

Vigil with a nice pass defensed, nearly an INT.

Good push by Billings as well.

Second team DL doing a bit better, but facing 2nd team O as well.

QB's continue to find lanes to run as DT's don't keep lane assignments.

Bengals do not know how to handle/cover screens.

To the WR or RB. Chunk plays every time.

Oh ya, Elliot FG. Neither kicker has missed in games.

Vigil, another solid defensive play. Was cut, but was able to get his arm/shoulder on the RB and another LB cleaned up for the tackle for loss.

Dennard....

beaten bad. He let his guy get so open, that Chris Smith who basically came in untouched couldn't even get in the backfield for a pressure.

More assignment issues.

Back side beaten badly on end-around as LB and DE all crashed inside...no one out there to stop the run.

Once again...great edge pressure, only to give up a long run to the QB because no LB in sight, and DT's did not keep lane assignment.

Busted coverage on the goal-line. TE on back side was wide open. Shaw almost had a nice play for a potential INT, but couldn't get back from his cover assignment to get the ball.

So far OL has looked the best of all. That's not a good thing, though they have played decently enough.

Dalton....eh.

WR's have been good, too.

RB's....eh. Even Mixon.

Entire defense looks God-Awful. That includes the play-calling as well. Scheme, calls, and execution all are serious issues.

OL doing a good job against KC second team. AJ lots of time to throw, and he finds Erickson for big gain, and Boyd to move into scoring range, but will settle for FG with time running down.

Really good pressure here in 2nd half. KC OL getting away with a TON of blocking in the back and holding, though to help QB escape.

Bewikere cannot cover a fat lady in a wheel chair. No wonder Julio lit him up last year.

Kiviere Russel with a nice shot to stop a screen for short gain. Except he forgot to wrap up and it went for 9 yards instead of 2.
