Pretty bad when the BENGALS are shopping you after two seasons as a first round pick and your salary is very easily manageable. Must not have made a good impression on Taylor.

Hmmm.... Not sure what to make of this report. The Bengals front office doesn't normally conduct business like this....i.e. floating info to Schefter or other NFL insiders. In fact, I normally find the NFL insiders to know almost less than the local beat guys, who also never seem to know anything. It's a secretive organization.

Playing along with the report, I suppose this could be a 'new sheriff in town' sort of way of doing business and the reports might be true. If so, it doesn't necessarily surprise me.... Any coach is going to want to rebuild his roster with personnel that fit his system. Sometimes you maximize your assets (trades, draft picks) so that you can build your roster quickly. It's hard for me to figure why Ross wouldn't fit into the system - A guy that could stretch the field has a role in every offensive system. But, like you said, maybe the new staff isn't sold on him. He certainly hasn't looked like much of a player in his first two years.

What would you want for him? At this point, if someone traded us a 2, I would take it.

I am not sure we would net a 2nd for Ross at this point, as he has underwhelmed his first two years. I think at this point you have to rely on potential there, because you are selling at a terrible low and basing it off a change of scenery and a massive turnaround. I would think he would make more sense in our lineup with the right game plan than selling him off a for a way below market value.

We might get a 4th if we are lucky?

I have a hunch he ends up in TB. Physically hes the prototype wr for the Arians offense.

Also just for good measure, the Bengals picked Ross right before Pat Mahomes, Marshon Lattimore and Deshaun Watson...

He’s not worth anything. Just cut him. Brandon Tate had more value.

Interesting that there were always rumors that Marvin wanted nothing to do with that pick.

Long live the legend of Duke Tobin.

I wouldn't give him up for a 4th.... You can't teach speed and if our offensive coaches show a little creativity they'll get something out of him. Hell, make him return kicks. He's fairly cheap at this point, so unless you really think the pick is of value, you should keep him. It's not like he's any worse than Josh Malone or Cody Core so we have the roster space.

I think he was terrible his rookie year and plagued with injuries. Last year, had some rough spots but shined from time to time as well. So I would see if the new coaching staff can turn him around a bit more. He was starting to get on track. 7 TD's in what 21 catches? Unless you are getting a solid second round pick, or a player that is going to start on your defense, I don't see it as a move necessary. Hopefully it is more smoke than fire.

That is good to know. Wonder where this Jeremy Bergman got his info from, because he either just got screwed by his source, or he is making crap up which is just as bad as a journalist.

I honestly don't think you can believe much of anything that comes through as a Bengals Rumor.... I know some teams like to use the media to create rumors, but the Bengals have like 3 people in the know.... And none of them are talking.
