He is probably better than what we have. 7 ypc career is nothign to sneeze at. I would take him. I feel we never gave him a legit shot to make this team and become a solid contributor. Whenever he was on teh field, he made things happen. Shame he got blackballed in the league *no pun intended*.

He didn't get "blackballed". He put up great stats in the preseason and would have a nice play here and there in the regular season to up his stats. DDD was frail and wouldn't be a long term solution for anyone.

He's been fairly active in the alternative league (UFL or whatever), I think he's under contract, but he was basically the second string to Marcel Shipp there.

I thought he was ok for a backup, and I also thought the Colts would like him and keep him, but they didn't.

I was just being a dick. DeDe has always provoked strong opinions from a large portion of our fanbase that felt the guy could have been a major contributor on a weekly basis. Personally I think he would have been a good third down back and special teams player (two things he did quite well while he was here), but I don't think he has more value than Brian Leonard. Oh, and given that he never really caught on outside of here - even with all of his preseason accomplishments on tape, suggests that pro scouts found major deficiencies in his game.
