The kicking duel was nerve racking. I hope one of these guys gets picked up by another team.

There is no way Elliott is not getting the job and this is why:

1. Huge leg and great hang time on kick offs.
2. Younger with room to grow.
3. Cheaper
4. More years of team control

There is no way Elliott is not given the job. Bullock was basically given a full opportunity to show the league what he is capable of doing so he can latch on somewhere else immediately once he is cut. I like Bullock, and if we had not drafted Elliott, he would be great to keep around. Just not going to happen. He honestly never stood a chance as long as Elliott didn't completely shit the bed. And while he has a few misses, I think he was pretty damn impressive all preseason. Give him the job, stop making him take alternating kicks, throw your confidence in him, let him do his job.

Newsflash - Our first round pick with an injury history is already injured.

Newsflash part 2 - Our kicking game is still suspect. I guarantee we're talking about kickers after blowing a game or two by midseason.

As for the qbs.... I don't think McCarron has been put in a good situation. He'd look better if he played more consistently with guys that will play on Sunday. I also think the Bengals really blew it by not trading him this offseason. At the very least they would have got a 3rd rounder for him (2nd if you believe some of the gossip). But his shine is definitely fading and I think they'll get noting of significance for him at this point.

I'd definitely stash Driskel on the IR. He would be a good option at back up next year.

They should get a 3rd round comp pick for McCarron but not trading him for a 2nd rounder was inexplicable unless they were only offered that by a team within the division.

Because of Ross's size and frame he'll always have minor injuries and miss a couple games a year. If he's Desean Jackson as a pro I still love the pick.
