Last night's loss was better than most wins. A severely underhanded team played hard and pushed the reigning champs. The final score did not reflect how close it was, for those who didn't see it. Maxey was huge.
there were certainly some lessons learned for Kork and the rest, but we have some quality players stepping up for this team right now and I love it.

My favorite part of his game last night:
39 minutes on the floor and a ton of that with the ball in his hands and he had zero turnovers. I was screaming at my tv when the play by play dude on TNT was saying it was clear the Sixers need a PG. Fuck that noise. They have a PG in Maxey and he’s getting better each night out.
I have watched just about every minute of every game, Maxey, is growing up before our eyes. That kid can play, and he is exciting to watch.

Maxey: gym rat who has to literally be kicked out of the gym and told to go home by Danny Green because he is set to play 30+ minutes the next day and needs to stop practicing jumpers.

Simmons: Shows up to practice with cellphone in pocket, bolts for the exit immediately after the whistle is blown

Celtics are 2-0 with Jalen Brown nursing a hammy. Suddenly playing really stingy defense. Simmons would fit this type of team play. Brown is still way too much of an offensive threat for what Simmons would return. The Bradley Beal/Jalen Brown rumors are starting to pick up steam up here in the frosty New England states.

The difference between a guy who wants to be great and a guy who just wants to have the NBA lifestyle.

all this is doing is exposing this to the rest of the nba and continuing to tank his trade value.

he's still a good, useful player, but you're seeing that there is no upside, and even possible that the guy he was is gone.

This is why they should’ve just sent him home until a trade was made.

The sixers are not helping themselves here

Yep.

Kobe's prescription to improve shooting that he used to tell young guys was to shoot 1,000 shots a day.

I always thought he said that many for 2 reasons...1. muscle memory because you don't want to be thinking about the shot while shooting it.

The 2nd, and probably most important, is that being in a gym by yourself and shooting that many shots is boring as fuck. If you're willing to do that and not quit after 500 because it's too boring...then you are serious about getting better.

It looks like Maxey is willing to do the boring stuff.

Pretty sure it was shoot 1,000.

But knowing Kobe, you might be right. He was batshit crazy about working on his game. lol

Simmons is very similar to the Aaron Rodgers situation.

They both don't like to take shots.......

I'll show myself out!!!

If you wanna see how to handle this situation, compare it to the Red Sox

They have the worst infield defense in a century, and if you ask them you’d think they’re the cardinals with 3 gold glovers and one who was robbed

For those guys making 1000 isn’t that much different from shooting 1000.

A couple hundred extra reps maybe.

Makes sense

I said this was stupid

And again this not something either side will want to bring to an arbitrator

But trying to interfere in his treatment is a big no no

Agreed.

But, we are not privy to the details of his behavior behind closed doors.

What if they see him yucking it up with the staff and teammates that don't despise him?

The 76ers won't come out and say it. But, they think he's lying.

Guess what?

So do I.

But, they can't come out and say that.

They have to play the game.

In mental health, even if you know its a feigned attempt, you treat it like its real.

I honestly believe this guy is a mental midget with a serious mental block.

Why else would he do everything in his power to avoid taking a shot?

I also believe this is a tantrum. He doesn't want to play FOR THEM. But, he still wants his check.

The 76ers already gave away a #1 overall draft pick, with mental health issues, for pennies on the dollar.... Fultz.

No surprise they aren't eager to do that again so soon with Simmoms.

No question the sixers feel deep down the guy is lying. If they had any reason to susoect he had real mental issues there is no way they would be handling things this way. If Simmons is faking, which I think he is, what level of a piece of shit does it take to fake mental illness? All I know is Maxey with every passing game is giving the Sixers reason to end this debacle one way or another. The thing is Simmons is nearing territory where he may never be able to take the court again. He may be fine with that as long as he gets his contract. I continue to think if he had a real mental issue that this conflict is the last thing he would want, he would have just held out.

Simmons has repeatedly said that he will never play for the Sixers again and only showed up when he realized he wasn't going to get paid. But the reason he's not "mentally ready" to play is because the Sixers are fining him? GTFOH!

That’s what he’s trying to do.

Morey’s bad faith is the issue with that
