I don’t blame you.I'm just not a fan of Simmons.

Gotcha. But I will confirm your comment. As a Sixer fan, I’m here for all of that. Fell in love with sports in the 80s and that was when Sixers Celts was legit.Never said you're wrong. Just don't want to see BS in Boston.

That's likely the only way it gets done. Celtics don't have other assets that would interest the Sixers.I don’t see him in Boston for brown

I do not think there is even a remote chance of this happening, but the Celtics have to at least kick the tires on this one and Morey can then use that to get other teams back into the picture.
As much as I don't like this trade idea Celtics gotta look to do something. I just don't see the Tatum/Brown combo reaching the ultimate goal.I do not blame you.

Like Beal.I doubt it happens either but I do think that Stevens wants to shake things up so I wouldn't be shocked if they move Brown for some other assets that might fit better with Tatum.
All depends on who they find to be a 3rd star, if they can find a 3rd star.As much as I don't like this trade idea Celtics gotta look to do something. I just don't see the Tatum/Brown combo reaching the ultimate goal.
May I propose D'angelo Russell? He has many fine qualities I have been told. All depends on who they find to be a 3rd star, if they can find a 3rd star.
I honestly didn’t even consider Jaylon Brown this summer when I would do Simmons scenarios in my head. I think it may come time for Boston to explore changing it up. And that would entail a Brown or Tatum. But is Simmons the best they can do if Brown is on the market? Maybe Boston wants a youth centered deal heavy on picks and doesn’t want to spend it all on one player or if they do, a different skill set than Simmons. If the Cs are in on this, Simmons does make them different. They may even want to use him as a facilitating 4 like Draymond or at a minimum he gives the Cs a cover for KD and Giannis. If the Celtics have goals that are sooner as opposed to later a Bucks and/or Nets series has to enter the calculus. He’s also a guy that doesn’t need shots but has growth potential. Facts: the people Simmons spent most of his time with for skill development weren’t great at that. Maybe the Celtics bet on their model to unlock him. Is there a player that Brown can bring back in a deal that would have the upside of Simmons? If somebody unlocks him he’s a 1st team All NBA guy and the best two way player in the game. If he doesn’t go there, he’s a 3 time All Star, a great transition player who assisted on more 3s last year than anyone in the NBA and arguably the best perimeter defender in the league for a team that’s looking to regain a defensive identity. Simmons and Horford played very well together without Embiid on the floor and Horford at 5. I think Stevens should shop Brown but I don’t know if he brings back better than Simmons, unless the plan is Tatum’s 23 and when he hit his prime in 2-3 years we got a youth laden deal with 4-5 pieces with growth potential and maybe 1 becomes a star, another guy is a plus starter, and some role guys. If I’m the Celtics, I probably opt for trade Brown for youth, bet on your scouting, projection, and development staff instead of trading for Simmons who has legit question marks about his make-up.IMO, there's no way a trade goes down between Celtics and Sixers if both Simmons and Jaylen Brown involved... Sixers won't do it unless Brown is involved, and Boston shouldn't do it if Brown is involved.
If I had to guess, Boston called to see if a trade is possible without the addition of Tatum or Brown... (which doesn't seem likely at all).
