Oh great. If Stevens gets rid of the teams 2nd best player for a mentally fragile PG that can't hit free throws that wouldn't be good.
Your best player and your 2nd best player have the same game and have become ISO players. That kind of team isn't going anywhere. Brown and Tatum are the only legit assets the Celtics have.

On the other hand, if a change of scenery is what he needs, you just got a player who is an elite level ballhandler, passer and defender while eliminating and competition for shots between Tatum and Brown.

I think his free throw shooting can be fixed. As bad as his free throw shooting was in the playoffs, he was 61% for the season which, while not great, isn't a complete disaster and can be improved.

I mean, Lonzo Ball has gone from 45% his rookie year, to 42%, 57%, 78% and this year he's at 83% so far. He's also gone from 31% on 3's to 41% this year.

Not that any Lakers fans would ever say we told you so (especially since he's no longer on the team)...

but remember when Sixers fans insisted that Simmons was far better than Lonzo?

Fun times....:heh:

I will wish Ben luck wherever he goes....especially because it is showing that he wasn't the backbone of this team.

You mean the player that the Lakers failed to develop along with Randle and Brandon Ingram who all have gotten much better since they got away from the Lakers shit show of a development staff?

How'd Fultz and Simmons turn out for you?

Additionally, when they were with the Lakers, they actually were starting to show improvement. Had they not signed Lebron and just continued to develop the kids, they wouldn't have a title, but they'd likely be a strong playoff team right now.

They’d be the Pelicans, probably without Zion

No one has benefited from Lebron in la than Jeanie buss

Uh, okay?

I mean, she owns the Lakers and getting him resulted in a title. So yeah, the whole organization has benefitted greatly. Including ownership. Last I checked...that's kind of how it works when a team gets a superstar.

Ironically both franchises were kind of forced to hire those guys.

Definitely. The league basically forced Colangelo on the Sixers and the Lakers (particularly Jeanie's) loyalty to past greats kind of forced them to hire Magic as GM, even though his sole qualification was that he's Magic Johnson.

Worst case scenario for the Sixers:
They stay status quo and don’t work anything out but this rumor impacts the Cs locker room with discussion of Jaylen Brown being tradeable.

Why am I not surprised a 76ers fan would approve of BS in Boston.

Am I wrong? Two wings who are pretty much the same player coupled with a bunch of role players isn’t going to make noise in the NBA.

I'm just not a fan of Simmons.
