Turned down 2 or 3 HC jobs. I dont think he is ready to be a HC. He needs to get better at second half game planning and adjustments. Give him another couple years and if he fixes that then he will be ready.

AG will make a better HC as he has shown the ability to make corrections and make do with a small amount of talent.

Lions should use this year to groom replacements though either way. Also this is a good sign that coaches want to stay. it means they see good things ahead still.

The organization always needs to be building towards replacing. Both coaches and players have relatively short shelve lives based on the average length of tenures in the NFL at any position below Owner. Can’t survive 100 percent turnover yearly, but they have to be prepared for thirty percent or more yearly (statistic quoted with absolutely no research, just an observation).

Terrell Williams from TN brought in as DL coach although I thought we had one already. Usually you fire that guy before bringing in another.

Commanders hire Dan Quinn - looks like AG will continue with Detroit, assuming he isn’t leaving without a Head Coach offer. Could be the type of continuity that will make the Lions a better team on both sides of the ball.
