Seems like a good fit. Not sure he is going to play at a high level for more than 1 year but Royals could certainly make a push this year
I dunno, HGH is a hell of a drug.

3 years 48 million for Beltran -- KC is turning into the Yankees of the AL Central. Just trying to buy their way into the playoffs.
Does this mean Detroit is Manchester United?
wow, that would be fun to watch Butler at 1b on ESPN. if you give up Harvey, I will make a call...lol

I would have to start a lol at x NL team's FO thread if they signed/traded for Butler.
As much as Butler could be useful for the offense of some NL team, his defense is hideous.
Even just plugging him at first base huh?
Absolutely, it really isn't prudent given the $/trade Value Butler would command. It would be a ridiculous addition if he is not a DH. Butler is atrocious even at 1st base.
shhhhhhhh...stop it...I would love watching this...how much entertainment can you get during the dog days of summer? you have to SELL butler ....moose....stop with all the facts.....I think Butler would be a great addition to the mets and solidfy their lineup batting behind Wright and Murphy...he might be able to put up 120 rbis....its a great plan...
now, what starting pitchers do you have available? Is Murphy available?
He deserves it the way he played with STL... But knowing him, he will probably get hurt and miss the majority of those 3 years...
The Mariners are the only other team I could think of in the AL/Small market that would give Beltran 3 years.
Mets could use a bat and have a plethora of young arms to deal. Butler to the Mets for any combination of Duda/Davis/Daniel Murphy + a young arm or 2?
Seattle is not a small market.
