I don't think the league takes into consideration what's best for the team when handing down punishments for violations.......The ruling comes down and then they can appeal but the ruling stands unless revised, as in Ben's case.....

But the NFL isn't going to punish them, they're leaving it up to the Steelers.

So tell me.....if the NFL left punishing Ray Rice up to the Ravens - would he miss any time at all?

They can't leave it up to the team alone for a violation that clearly breaks their conduct rules.....They are getting suspended , you can count on that.....The extent of the suspension is as unpredictable as a roll of the dice as we have seen many times before from this commish.......You gotta admit, they are some buffoons, to put themselves in that position.....
