Life in the Red's Blog | Belichick to speak in Lincoln
You'd be hard-pressed to come up with a better headliner than the one who will speak at this year's Nebraska Spring Football Coaches' Clinic.
Bill Belichick, the man under the hood, will be in town in a couple weeks to pass on his football wisdom to local coaches.
"We are fortunate to have put together a lineup of speakers and activities that will be as good as any coaching clinic around the country," Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said. "When you think of successful coaches, you start with Bill Belichick. His record in the NFL is unbelievable, and his teams play with great discipline, focus and attention to detail. His insight will be invaluable to a coach at any level.
"As a Nebraska coaching staff, we are happy that this year's schedule will allow us to spend more time and teaching opportunities with the coaches that attend, and I hope everyone finds that to be instructional and informative."
Belichick's resume is familiar to most all: He has guided the New England Patriots to three Super Bowl wins and five AFC championships, the latest coming this past season.
The three-day clinic will take place from March 8-10 in Lincoln, and registration is now open to coaches by visiting bigredfootballschool.com or Huskers.com.
Belichick is scheduled to speak on Friday, March 9.
