I'm guessing that everyone who follows the Pirates knows that Joe Beimel has been designated for assignment. For me, that was a disappointment. Not because he should have stayed, but rather because he had been a pretty solid lefty reliever for several years..... and with his Pittsburgh roots, I was hopeful that he could/would continue in that role at a reasonable price beyond 2011.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Beimel's stuff was completely gone after he came off the DL. Heck, he looked like I could hit him.

You're right, he had nothing. Was funny watching some old clips of him back in the day, all clean cut and everything. And then watching him this year, the guy looks like an addict all tatted up, and huge bags under his eyes, not saying he is, just saying.
