I'm just noticing that she is in all sorts of nostalgia bait. Giant eyes, big lips, skinny, tan. Made in a lab. Probably going to be in movies for a long time.

I went into this pretty blind. Had about 30 minutes of good scenes and the rest is filler. You could probably point out that the original was similar but not like this. You could make an argument for this being one of the worst scripts ever. Decent performances, some funny parts and..

Lots of female empowerment. The two women I saw this with didnt care for it at all, though.

This is on Netflix now so I checked it out. It's decent but nothing more. I liked that they actually spent more time with Beetlejuice and the after life than the original but the main issue with the movie is there's too much going on. There's like 4 simultaneous plots going on and the movie ends up short changing them all. They really should have edited the script down in preproduction to just focus on 1 maybe 2 things.
