Been a while. How sweet it is. Nice gesture for Rod Smith......

Thought that was very thoughtful for a true professional in every sense of the word.

Great season. Wonderful run....so far.

What a difference a QB makes.

Now, hopefully the conditions are not white out blizzard conditions.

The ironies of the 1997 season and this season continues. If you remember that play off run that year too. They had to beat the Chiefs, who they had lost to....much like the Broncos losing to the Chargers this year. They had to beat the Steelers in the AFCCG, who they had lost to that year in the regular season. Much like the Broncos losing to the Pats this year.

All of the other things added to the fact that the 1997 season came off the crushing home loss to the Jags. This season coming off the crushing Ravens loss that left the same sour taste. The fact the Broncos first round pick....was the first time they drafted a DT in the first round...since Trevor Pryce, who was drafted in 1997.

Just some fun facts.

"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme." Mark Twain.

I am also glad they are playing the Hawks than the 49ers. Not that the Hawks are easy at all. Just from a defensive stand point, I thought the 49ers presented a lot more problems. Especially with their skill position guys. Boldin, Crabtree, Davis, Gore, and the scrambling of Kaepernick.

Although, the Hawks present real problems for the wide outs. Either team would be tough, but I am happier they are facing the Hawks.

its a celebration for sure and i agree , I think the 9ers face up harder for the Broncs... Seattle usually does not put up big points and we have so many targets besides two wideouts that it will be a HUGE superbowl to watch

Neither team put up many points offensively. I think one avg 17 and the other 14 if I`am not mistaken. I like the match-up with Seattle because frankly I think their the tougher match-up. IMO of course:yahoo:

Of the two teams at least on the offensive side of the ball San Fran had the biggest mismatch against our defense in Davis. Honestly I was hoping for Seattle to win 1) because it is always nice to see the top 2 teams in the NFL face off but 2) TE's kill this defense and especially with all the injuries we have no one that could match up with the speed and physicality that Davis presents. I like our defenses chances against the Seattle offense. Now I do think defensively they are the harder match up of the two against our offense but I always like our offenses chances against any defense in the NFL.

I agree with randymon. I think the Seahawks are the tougher matchup of the two teams, and that's exactly who I want to see us play. #1 Defense vs. #1 Offense. This is the perfect matchup of teams.
