Threats prompt Big 12 administrators to skip trip to Lincoln

If all those threads are true, then it is disgusting that people would do that. That still doesn't justify them not sending anyone up here for the game. Who in the hell knows what these people look like? Plus they would have plenty of security.

Of the Texas A&M game, when Nebraska was flagged 16 times and Texas A&M two, Beebe said he had an outside consultant -- a former NFL official -- review the game.

"He thought it was a fairly officiated game," Beebe said, declining to name the person.

That's exactly what I was thinking. They couldn't have some people just NOT wear their big 12 pins and cart the trophy into the locker room in an indescript case? WTF. Those kids earned that shit.

And another thing. Beebe talking about how if there was really a conspiracy that they could have us lose virtually every game was really creepy. It reminded me of OJ and that book he wrote "if i did it" or whatever.

Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne said he wished not to respond to Beebe's comments.

"They got whatever they got, and they decided not to come," Osborne said. "That's OK. I don't have anything to say about that."

Is Osborne bothered by Nebraska fans sending the messages that Beebe described?

"I've said all I'm going to say. I've had all kinds of e-mails over the years. It's not a problem."

I love Osborne. Not saying anything sure said a lot. There is no good reason to not show up to hand out trophies to kids. And yes these are still kids who earned the trophy and deserved to have it presented honorably.

Beebe is such a ****. This is just gonna get uglier and uglier.

Beebe says he's a big boy and can take yet; yet chooses to not come to Lincoln amidst potential threats via voice mails and emails because he felt threatened. Well what is it? Are you a big boy and can take it or are you scared? I had a professional therapist look at those comments and it's obvious he's a coward. I remember a few years ago when Vice President Dick Cheney came to Lincoln with many potential threats since that administration wasn't very popular and the police department was able to protect the vice president without problems. LPD received accolades from the White House for their efforts. Is Mr. Beebe saying he's above the Vice President of the United States? It would have been a better statement to just state that he doesn't like Nebraska and won't be attending to give them their trophy or just a simple 'i'm busy'. The truth to the matter is Mr. Beebe didn't want to hear the chorus of "Boo's" erupt from the crowd when he stepped foot into the stadium as that might bruise his ego.
