Game Thread: Bears (0-0) at Los Angeles Rams (0-0)

It's finally game week. Here we go.

Not an ideal first match up. I am really trying hard, but I just don't see a way that we pull this one out. The offense, in particular, is going to have a long night. The defense will keep us in it for a little while. They can only do so much when the other side of the ball is so inept, though.

The calls for the Fields era intensifies come Monday morning.

Bears 16

Here's to hoping I am wrong. An upset here would be equally as shocking as us stunning Peyton Manning's Colts in Indy on SNF back in 2008 to start off the season.

I dont think Dalton and co. will fare well Sunday night against Aaron Donald amd rest of the that def line......not too mention their d-backs....

Stafford will be just as good as he was in Detroit,but I dont think he makes a Rams offense juggernaut...
But their offense/def is still better than ours........

But football is back and Im a happy camper.

Stafford is 0-2 against the Bears in season openers. It took a really bad officiating call and a dropped TD to make that happen. But hopefully we shock and make it 0-3.

Tough game. Bears will scheme to try and stop Donald and likely allow someone to feast on a one on one matchup.

A few things that can lead to a Bears win....

Defense steps up and makes plays. Preferably turnovers that lead to points.
Bears get a running game going to keep the pass rush in check.
Dalton is efficient when he does have time and is able to throw the ball beyond the sticks.

This game is far from impossible. I actually think that overall the Rams defense is set to take a step back this season. And Stafford is good, not great. My biggest worry outside of the Bears OL is their CBs. ST was a also a preseason worry but it's hard to judge your special teams in the preseason due to the bloated rosters.

Tough schedule this season. If you can steal a road win like this one then you actually do put yourself in the playoff picture.

I'm going to be hopeful and take the upset. Bears 24 Rams 16

Pretty much share your 'tude. Would much prefer we win, but losing football is better than no football at all. Go Bears!!!

Stafford is going to tear the league up this year. I don’t think we get out of Sunday with a W. Best we can hope for is some growing pains as stafford learns the new offense.

The Stafford takes baffle me. It’s not like he had bums around him in Detroit on offense. He played with a lot of good receivers.

I see Staffs stats at the end of the year being as good as what was in Detroit......Over 4000 yds passing,25 tds....

He does not have a Calvin Johnson type wr on Deroit,so Im not sure how he will be any better than in Detroit.......but good luck to him..
I just dont see him setting the league on fire....

Get the ball to Montgomery with quick passing, screens en sech. Take their d-line out of it.

That's assuming he is healthy, as he left the game on the first play of preseason and never returned, and I haven't really heard shit about it since?/

He is tough, and always seems to manage and play thru shit.

He is our best player not named Allen Robinson. Get him the ball in space.

I hope Monty is ok. Looked like a knee after that only run of the preseason. His current backup Damien Williams is also on the injured list with a leg problem.

I just hope they dress enough offensive lineman. Sounds like one of Borom or Wilkinson will not dress and they will have Alex Bars backing up every position on the line.

I think the only way they create space for Montgomery is by playing 2 tackles on each side. How game shape is Perriman going to be, he might get in 4 plays.

Bad feeling this one is going to get ugly real early.
