BCS Championship Game:
Alabama (13-0) vs. Ohio State (13-0)

Rose Bowl:
Oregon (12-1) vs. Michigan (11-2)

Orange Bowl:
Clemson (12-1) vs. Oklahoma (10-2)

Sugar Bowl:
Texas A&M (10-2) vs. Florida State (11-1)

Fiesta Bowl:
Oklahoma State (11-1) vs. Louisville (12-0)

Selection order this year is Orange, Sugar, Fiesta

Texas drops out after getting embarrassed by BYU. I must say in all the years I've done the projections, if these ones ended up being the games, I think each one would have some intrigue. usually there is 1-2 stinker matchups due to autobids or bowls selecting big-market teams that are ranked low.

I see you don't have Stanford in a BCS bowl yet have Oregon with a loss.

So, who you have Oregon losing to?

If still Stanford then that means the Cardinal would be losing 2 games to teams not named the Ducks.

just curious

Not Stanford. I have Stanford at 11-1. The problem with Stanford and the BCS is that they sell so few tickets that their only shot at a BCS game is to finish in the top4 of the standings, win the conference, or hope a conference (SEC) stuffs the top14 so much that there are no more eligible teams to take besides the Cardinal.

I can't possibly see a scenario where a 10-2 Oklahoma team playing in the Big 12 this year gets in over 11-1 Stanford. That makes no sense.

The BCS bowls don't pick their at-large teams based on merit. They pick them based on who will draw the most attention, and more importantly sell the most tickets. Stanford doesn't sell tickets. Oklahoma does.

Didn't Stanford sale plenty of tickets at the Rose Bowl last year?

Dude is really over thinking things.

THey also sold quite a few as an at large in Fiesta even though they were auto bid.

Stanford only sold 17,500 tickets to the Fiesta.

Yes, the Rose Bowl was sold out, but there is a nostalgia and distance factor to take into account, that simply would not exist with the Sugar Bowl, which is across the country

Do you know how many allotted tickets are given to a team in a BCS bowl?

Not many. I have had season tix for 20 years and cant get a BCS ticket through Oregon because I am still down the list.

Corporate sponsors get a vast majority. I have to buy my BCS game tix on stubhub.

Ans Stanford easily had 30,000 at the Fiesta. THey also had tens of thousands in Miami's Orange bowl a few years ago.

You are really overthinking this dewd.

Notre Dame is a team that applies to your rule 100% of the time.

Oregon and Stanford believe it or not travel damn near equally to BCS bowls.

SO if you have Stanford one loss and the BCS taking Oklahoma then why didn't the committee take Oky over Oregon last year as an at large?

Stanford came nowhere close to selling out for the Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech again has trouble selling its bowl tickets

Oregon was an automatic bid, not an at-large.

WHo said they sell out?

Orange Bowl rarely does.

Stanford sells their allotted tix like everyone else.

They aslo scoop up thousands of corporate doushbag's tix that are sold on line for double the price.

No, you didn't read the article. Stanford left the PAC-12 on the hook for about 6-7K of their 17,000 allotment.

So again, who do you have Oregon losing to? So far I don't think the Ducks lose a game in the PAC, they so far appear to be the best team in conference. Oregon has not skipped a beat under Helfrich, in fact, Oregon looks better in some cases.

no they were at large.

Florida @ 3 was an auto @ large

No more than two teams from any one conference may receive berths in BCS games unless two non-champions from an AQ conference finish as the top two teams in the final BCS standings, in which case they will meet in the National Title Game while their conference champion will play in their conference's BCS bowl game.
The third-ranked team will receive an automatic berth if it has not already received one, if it is a member of an AQ conference, and provided that its conference has not already earned two automatic berths, if there is room.
If the third-ranked team did not require a berth using the previous provision, then the fourth-ranked team will receive an automatic berth if it has not already received one, if it is a member of an AQ conference, and provided that its conference has not already earned two automatic berths, if there is room.

lol bro.

The Orange bowl... Do you know how easy and cheap it is to get a ticket to the Orange bowl when VA Tech and Stanford are in it.

So why would Stanford fan buy the allotment of tickets when they can go down and spend 1/3 the price for a ticket?

Buy on line or before game. The allotment of tickets they didn't buy is because they have to pay Orange Bowl allotment prices which is spendy as heck.

I didn't qualify for any Duck BCS games and only paid over market value one time. tOSU vs Oregon Rose.

I got into the NATTY for lower than face value.
