Bazemore has shown a lot of growth in Summer league. His confidence is of the charts right now, but I think he is going to be able to contribute this year on a higher level. He's actually not a good facilitator as of yet, but he does do a lot of things really good and especially defense.

I think if Mark Jackson wants to switch it up a few times a year he could do a lot of things. Last year we seemed limited with only Jack having to come off the bench for Curry, but now I think we have a bunch of nightmare line ups we can use.

It sound funny, but I'm going to watch the Summer league Championship tonight!

Go Dubs!

I know his numbers are okay but he hasn't looked that good to me. I know what you mean about him looking like he can contribute but I'm hoping that it would only be for defensive purposes.

I really like what cam Jones has been showing. that guy is a basketball player, he should find a spot on the roster.

Baze has been pretty efficient and he's looked a lot better to me.
Cam Jones is cool, but I really like Ian Clark and it looks like he has
more to his game then I actually thought. He can get by his man
and facilitate a little. He has some point guard skills.

He looks good against "Summer Leaguers"

But that's what I'd expect. Many of those Dleaguers wouldn't sniff the court in garbage time.

I don't expect much from Baze this year. I think there's a possibility of him being traded or picks or cash if Douglas/Nedo really impress this Preseason.

If Baze plays more than 20 mins a night this year, we can kiss the playoffs goodbye.

Bazemore has looked good getting to the hoop against Summer League defenders. He won't be able to do so against most NBA competition. His outside shot has been a mess, so his actual "NBA level" offensive game is still a work in process. However, he still is excellent defensively.

Cameron Jones kind of resembles Landry Fields. Plays within himself, some decent skills, nice shot. Oh, and apparently he actually is Landry Fields' cousin. There's a reason for the physical resemblance, and their games are kind of similar.

Clark will be on an NBA roster this year as a 3-point specialist. He would be deadly standing in the corner as James or Wade drew defenders to them and kicked it out to him. I'd be happy if he took that role with us when Curry is out of the game, if Iguodala is handling and distributing.

Clark is ballin right now, 6 3pts and 25 pts so far off the bench.

Cam Jones just keeps standing out though. His all around game is solid.

EK, he's looked solid, but the question really is "does his game translate against bigger, faster, stronger, more skilled, smarter opponents?" I don't know the answer to that question, but it's possible he could just be a little small, slow, etc..... to do much at that level.

I compare that to Clark, who doesn't have as wide a range of skills as Jones, but has one that's obviously NBA-ready, and can keep guys in the league a long time.

One-on-one, Jones probably beats Clark, but as a role player, Clark is probably a better contributor.

Not sure how this Bazemore thread got turned into Cam Jones, but what the hell...

Will Jones get minutes over

Speights/Lee/JO/Green or even Barnes at the 4 or 5 spots?

I don't see it. Unless we are talking about injuries to those players , or carrying Jones as a 14th / 15th man on the cheap.

Give him a non guaranteed contract and lets call it a night.

Clark shot well in Orlando, he's only had one game in Vegas. One hell of a game, I might add.

Jones has been solid everytime on the court. Jones shows a pretty stroke on his jumper. He would be a catch and shoot player off the bench. I've watched each of the games, this guy can flat out shoot.

I think it turned from the summer league portion of the title.

He wouldn't get mins over either one of those players, at the same time though, we dress 12, can have 15. Looking at the bench I see a spot for a pure shooting wing.

Barnes, Speights, JO, Green, Douglas, Festus (when/if healthy),Nedo?, Bazemore?. I don't see a pure shooter

Ek the pure shooter on the bench should be Ian Clark. He shot almost 50% for the whole summer league and shined when he could in limited minutes.
If I'm the Dubs FO I would take Ian Clark over Cam Jones on the bench any day!

From Summer league championship to NBA Championship!!!!
Lets go Dubs!!!!

EK, that's not quite accurate about Clark. I'm discounting the first game against Washington, which he barely got into (only 11 minutes) because he flew in from Orlando on the day of the game, and hadn't practiced with the team at all. He came in cold there, and was 0-3, 0-2 from 3-point land.

Clark's next 4 games he shot 5-10, 4-8, 5-8, and 3-6 (50% or higher every game), including going 8-16 on 3's. Not bad.

He had a stinker against Charlotte, which drove his percentages down. Then he came back with a fantastic game tonight.

You look at Clark's body of work over both the Orlando and Vegas leagues - he played 12 games, 1 of which was a throw-away (the Washington game I referenced above), 1 of which was bad, and 10 of which were really solid. He ended up shooting about 50% from both 2-point and 3-point land.

Again, I'm not knocking Jones. (Though I could bring up his 2-point effort in 27 minutes against Washington......) Just that Clark has a discernible NBA specialist skill, where Jones is a nice player, but I didn't see the standout skill that would set him apart.

I seen that Clark did his thing in Orlando, I just haven't seen him do it for us (until today).

Clark looked DAMN GOOD today, I can't deny.

I just know that we need a shooter off the bench, that isn't Bazemore.

By the way...... from the ESPN board, I went in on Clark early - see the first post here. (And obviously, I'm not as negative about Bazemore as I was then, though I think he won't come close to replicating his offensive performance (which wasn't that efficient) against real NBA players, and will regress to his mean.)

Bazemore's defense looks pretty amazing, though. Clark looked pretty good today, but I agree with EK. Jones looks like Shane Larkin only bigger. Someone's going to get a good player or 2 that we let go.

Nope. Because the competition doesn't resemble Summer League competition. He's good in helter-skelter ball, but it looks like when he goes against disciplined players and schemes, he can't cut it.

I would love to have Bazemore starting on my team...on any public basketball court.
