A must-win game in October?!? Sports fans in Calgary have to be feeling a little uneasy with the Stamps changing QB's just before the playoffs and when you lose two games on the weekend to Toronto based teams, the crowd could be in a surly mood at the Saddledome tonight.

Flames are catching the Oilers playing their 3rd game in four nights, c'mon boys, send the young lads packing with a resounding victory tonight.

Go Flames Go!

I'm sorry to tell you Dash but I watched the EDM-NSH last night and the Oil are looking pretty good.:behindsofa:

Not to worry they'll collapse in due time I'm sure.

Could this finally be the year that Nashville doesn't contend for a playoff spot? Sure, they still have Rinne and the big two on defense, but everything is up in the air from a contact perpective regarding Weber and Suter and the Preds forward lines don't scare anybody.

I think you might be right.

Their forwards may have the least offensive ability in the league. Rinne is going to have to have a Vezina calibre seasonfor them to squeak in. They still compete hard though; Trotz is fantastic coach.

Nashville should trade Suter for some Forwards. They only had 12 shots the entire game. I know they play a tight checking game, but at some point you have to be able to put the puck in the net. I think this is the year they don't make it. They just can't score.

David Moss has actually played okay to start the season, but he's not a No.1 centre. Get back soon BMo.

Pretty good for a rookie, Kenny, responsible defensively and seems to have about 50 more hockey IQ points than Matt Stajan.

Damn.. sounds good except for the 51 IQ!!

Edmonton has been looking good this early season. I still don't think they will qualify for the playoffs, but hey, they've beaten Pittsburgh and Nashville, and played Minnesota and Vancouver tough..they could have pulled off wins there too.

Calgary best bring their best defense, otherwise Edmonton puts up 4 or 5 against them.

Nice opening post and welcome to the hockey board - Aside from Cricket, I think you are the only other Tampa Bay fan here.

Thanks for the welcome. Have been looking for a good place to talk hockey. I posted on ESPN, but that place has turned into a Moron's paradise. Probably only one true fan for every 10 or 15 idiots that post.

Looking forward to getting knee deep in hockey talk with you guys....I've heard good things.

Dash - why is Babchuk a scratch?
I have him in a (very deep) pool. figured he'd be a powerplay fixture.
not the case?

I think he's suffering from Turek's syndrome puck (you know, sign a big contract and start to really suck).

Flames were awful for 55 minutes, then score two goals late to eke out a 2-1 win. Bring on Johnny Cash.

/Kipper was fantastic tonight.
