Last year, NC State beat a ranked Va. Tech team and Duke but couldn't beat a 9-win Boston College team. This year, they beat #2 Arizona but can't beat Northern Iowa. 2 years ago, they had 2 wins against ranked teams but lost to William & Mary and a 7-win Boston College team. It's a pattern with Wolfpack basketball.

There's a lot of P5 programs that are similarly inconsistent.

Last season NC State had Gottfried coaching them. This is a new season for the Pack. I didn't see them beating Arizona.

The Mustangs (5-1) blew an 11-point lead in the second half, but responded with a 10-2 run to go ahead for good. SMU won despite shooting 31 percent, though the Mustangs scored 19 points off 20 Arizona turnovers.

Shake Milton added 14 points, including four free throws in the final 70 seconds.

And for the second straight night, the Wildcats (3-2) found themselves on the wrong side of a stunning defeat. Arizona lost 90-84 to North Carolina State on Wednesday in the first round.

Allonzo Trier scored 22 points to lead the Wildcats. They will face No. 18 Purdue on Friday in the seventh-place game. The Mustangs will play Western Kentucky for fifth place.

Ayton has been really good, but I think he disrupts the flow to the offense.

Trier has been bad but PJC has been horrendous. They need to sit him. Unforced turnovers and bad defense during crunch time by the backcourt. Bad stuff.

Man UNI has UNC, Nova, SMU, NCSU, Iowa St, Xavier, UNLV all OOC. Plus a good game with UT-Arlington. That's a pretty legit OOC

They could potentially play the best team in the ACC(UNC), Big East(Nova), Mtn. West(UNLV) and Sun Belt(UT-Arlington). Xavier should be a top 25 team, SMU and NC State should both be top 75 teams, and Iowa State should be a top 150ish type of team. 7 of their 10 OOC D1 games should be against top 75 competition.

Yes im an Arizona fan. Can’t I be a fan of more than one team? Especially when my degree is from one of them..?!

I don’t know what happened to us this tourney. Mind boggling to be honest. Im growing less fond of Miller every day though, I’ll tell you that.
