halladay gave us two cy young caliber years, one bad year, and one awful year. i take the good with the bad. we don't get as far as we did in '10 or '11 without halladay, and we weren't going to be very good these past two years regardless. howard has had two good years, one bad one, and one awful season since signing his contract. he has way more money owed to him, and his contract is way longer. there's really no comparison, in my opinion.

yeah, I wasn't trying to compare contracts. It was a joke with not that much thought given to it. The point is when a guy gets suspended you don't have to pay him so it would have been better if it had been a couple injured guys making 20 million+ a year than a guy making 1.4 million a year. Get it? I'm here all week-try the veal.

Cedrique: John Kruk calling the Sunday night fiasco against the Braves mentioned Howard's contract and although his words were polite, Kruk made it known that the contract is indeed ridiculous and should have never been crafted.
