The NBA fined Barnes over nonsense again
It's not nonsense to the NBA when a player threatens another person who in this case is the head coach of the New York Knicks. Regardless of what you think about Derek Fisher, you as a player simply have no business threatening people and making the statements that they will meet up after he has retired; Is a threat. He needs to just shut his fuckin mouth and let his game do the talking without all of the gangsta and ghetto talk.

Granted that Fisher shouldn't have been trying to go after a friend's ex, assuming they were friends; the ex still has some responsibility to behave appropriately. She had to have known that going after his friends would piss him off which is most likely why she did that, but

Barnes has a guaranteed contract. Fisher has a guaranteed conditional contract - and he can be terminated if he conducts himself in a manner that is considered detrimental to the team or NBA. Fisher's career is on the line, so he has a lot more to lose then a thug like Barnes has. That's why Fisher didn't try to fight him or engage.

Yes they did, the NBA front office stated that they do not condone violence and that his statements was not what the league about it and I am talking about Barnes latest 35K fine for making more statements about Fisher. He needs to simply shut his mouth, quit getting into fights and play ball. That's not a hard thing to do - sometimes you just have to walk away

He got fined for this comment

"Violence is never the answer, but sometimes it is

I think he said that after he got fined, but either way he also said they would meet up after he retired and that also was a threat. Then he was going on a like an 8th grade in the gangs - talking wanting to fight man to man and calling Fisher a snitch and all of the other crap. He deserved the fine - He needs to let it go and move on. Like it or not - Fisher isn't his problem - His ex-wife is the real problem and she is going to be dating other guys. She most likely chose Fisher to piss him off and in the process she now has material to show the courts that as a parent he is hot headed and unfit. He would do well to calm down and quit talking. That will benefit him and his children. His children will suffer if he continues

So, he still is promoting violence.
He went back to his ex-wife's house with an attitude and an intention to be violent. He was pissed that a person who he thought was his best friend - was about to fuck his ex-wife in the house while the children were sleeping and he didn't like it. The only problem is that the ex-wife had a lot to do with that too and it was not his right to say or do anything. He was lucky that Fisher did not press charges. I have no problem with Fisher calling the police; that's what you do when you have a lot to lose like a job as head coach. Especially when you got a head coach job that you really don't deserve. And as you said - Barnes made his intention known with that statement which is why he deserved to get fined and did get fined

Unfortunately though Barnes has a point that sometimes violence is the only way to resolve a problem. I am not Barne's fan and I am not defending Fisher by any means and I don't agree with what Barnes did or said. He should have kept his mouth shut, but sometimes a good ole left hook into the guy's mouth is the best way to handle a dispute
