That comes to mind from yesterday's game when Tillman was constantly throwing towards the outer part of the plate vs. Kinsler and ran his pitch count up so much he got yanked after the 5th.

Baltimore simply is the team with the better overall PITCHING despite the common perception.


B- starters/ A++ relievers for the Os
A++ starters / D- relievers for the Tigers


The bullpen is so important and forgotten by teams.
Ask Oakland.

This game is squarely on Clark and Ausmus. The hitting did its job.

The Orioles did what I thought they would do.


They took a lot of pitches, fouled off pitches defensively, and got Verlander out early.


Once he only last 5 innings, It was only a matter of time.


Detroit has to find a way to almost get complete games now from starters
They have to get the Orioles to swing early...

I hope so. I wouldn't be surprised that if Price does get run earlier than they want due to pitch count, if they use Porcello as a long relief and then run Scherzer out there game 4 on short rest if they win game 3.

Seems like that's always been the case. Talent's obvious, but he needs to learn to lay off some pitches.

Absolutely. He's gotten better over the years but definitely still an issue that needs to be worked on.

Ausmus gave the game away. Not just for pulling Sanchez after 30 pitches but for putting in the same bums who couldn't get anyone out last night. There are other guys in the pen. Congrats Os fans.

From what I've heard the pitchers feel more comfortable with him behind the plate. Wieters going down early definitely has hurt our offensive production at the catcher position as Hundley hasn't been a great hitter himself this year.
