There are also under the radar deals/pickups like O'Day, Cotts, Soria, Leonys and such.
Soria, Cotts and Martin are three more great examples.

You must understand Romeo that it is not Washington's fault this team plays so bad, it is JD 's. There are 5 former all-stars on the field tonight plus Murphy who I am told is now hitting and Martin who most people want to hit second and we have one run. We can't hit, field, or run the bases and the manager is not to blame. Go figure.Or what about the trade that brought Napoli here?
You mean like signing Darvish? How's that for a deal since Beltre?

Ok so yeah that's a deal but I see that as a bit different, as the ownership agreed to post the most money and then a deal was made which you could argue could have been turned down by Darvish if it wasn't a fair deal. He could take it and play in the ML or turn it down and wait for another opportunity. Dempster was a deal too just didn't work out. Oh well, we need to be better all around is my point
@gfraley: Rangers have 68 outs on bases. Houston leads majors with 69.
Let's see, wasn't moving Pettis to third a Washington move? Said it would make us better base runners. I guess he knows nothing about coaches either.Pettis sucks. Get him off this staff. He costs this team runs.
We won't til someone starts teaching basic fundamentals. We have the players to do the job. But our position players are just not getting it done offensively and mental mistakes defensively and on the bases. Before that Grimm took 8 straight beatings and Tepesch somewhere in between. Baseball is like this. I just hope we turn it around in all phases.
That exemplifies our luck in a nutshell
