hes got the it factor
Yup. So didi Russell, Griffin, Manzel, and many others.

Don't get me wrong, Mayfield is the best player in the NCAA this year. Exciting to watch and a real gamer. But he has to change his game to adapt to the NFL. Most like him never make that transition. Some have. SO he is a risk. Enough to drop a 1st round pick on and declare him your franchise QB going forward? Not for me.

The NFL trash heap is littered with guys who were "players"....in college.

No shit j_y19. And there are NFL pro bowl/HOF players who were not "players"...in college as well.

Oh I don't think he ends up in Washington. I think you aren't watching the same player as me if you think he is comparable to Griffin or Manziel. Every QB has to change their game to some extent. I think size is his biggest issue. Who isn't running the ROP anymore? He ran for 311 yards this year or about 30 yards a game.

Was in the nut grab? The flag plant? :noidea:

He is like those 2 in that he is the superior athlete in all college games he plays in. Like them, he has learned to rely on that superiority to make some great plays. The problem comes in when they get to the pros and are no longer have that superior advantage. They never had to develop the skills in college that are mandatory to be successful in the NFL. Skills such as pre reading defenses, throwing to a spot, getting rid of the ball and making quick decisions. NFL offenses are so much more predicated on timing that college offense are. So its all about the player's recognition that they need to change and the commitment to remaking themselves into an NFL caliber QB. Can Mayfield do it? Sure. Its just that history tells us that many don't make it.

That is where you and I disagree. I believe he does those things. Better than almost anyone considered a high round draft choice. He was influencing guys with his eyes last night. Now he is playing with a superior team. Like I said we will see. Who he gets drafted by means a lot too. Same can be said for any of the kids coming out.

I saw a report that said he was giving Georgia players the choke sign after the Bulldogs FG kicker missed a FG. At the end of the game, a Georgia defensive player was yelling at him to get/become humble. Does he really run his fuckin mouth that much? The last thing we need here is another fuckin hard-head who can't be told shit, everything has to be experienced 1st hand and shit.

Mayfield is good but in the Nfl he will not be able to wait for open receivers.

He does run his mouth that much and he also has had a couple of issues off the field. Is it just an immaturity thing that he might grow out of? Maybe. But, again, are you willing to risk your first round pick to find out? I'm not. We've just seen to many stellar guys like him flame out. The odds are not in his favor.

if KC is standing on a mound of money , i could care less. we could have had him signed for cheap 3 years ago but our FO lacked foresight to do so KC played the game and he won period , its called capitolism

this team is 3 and 13 with colt mcooy under center . this team is the browns without him or the colts or the giants .
its dan snyders money so i dont care about his contract . we have enough cap space and draft picks to be in good shape
