It's not even that. The Devils got a bit carried away with Depth signings on 1-way deals this off season. In order for everyone that's currently at the NHL level to be there we need to have someone on IR at all times. We'll have to put someone on waivers eventually to solve this, but we got burned by losing Urbom and don't want it to happen again.

Knowing that Larsson has a lot of potentials and not seeing it in the game really sucks. Guy needs to build his confidence in the game by playing and with more ice time and not being pressed by loosing the spot on the roster. Coaching staff is suppose to be the one who should guide young players. Gelinas is good now. Does he have more potentials than Larsson - it is hard to say, because we should see him playing more.

I wasn't able to catch the Boston game at all, and only a bit of the Van game, but by all accounts Adam played his best hockey of the season with Gelinas.

Yes, watched the game and Larsson and Gelinas were the best defenseman.

Problem isn't our young guys. Its the stale same rotation we have for few years now.
Time for the younger guys to step in is about 2 years too late.
