I know we all love to crap on TOR, but are you telling me Kessel, JVR, Kadri, Rielly, Gardiner are nothing? Bernier and Reimer might not be elite, but they are better than anything BUF has.

The comparison is not nearly as far apart as you present. Having said that, Babs would be nuts to take on either one.

I think he's working under the assumption that of the guys you just named, maybe one or two will be left by the time all is said and done.

when you start seeing in print I guess its looks better or even. but seeing the dysfunction alot of the players on toronto have been a part of I would think buffalo would be an easier turn around. Sabres have Kane as well and under Babcock I think he takes that bigger step. Bernier and Reimer are better than the Sabres goalies.

I guess that would be key for Babcock. Having solid say in who stays and who goes to clean that up. hes high profile and and has an ego to match. Toronto would be epic for him if he can win there (maybe not the cup but at least return them to mid 90s level status) would go a long way for that team and him

I think St Louis was always in this. I always thought as well that Babcock would make an excellent coach there and it would be his best fit. IF Hitch could let ego slide for a couple season he would be the perfect Asst coach where they could and probably would win a cup there.
