He inherited a good team his first year. Other than that it’s been 1 tourney appearance and a bunch of trash.

He was the next big thing before taking this job. I remember Marquette fans were devastated when we didn’t get him. Looks like we are not much worse off

Im REALLY surprised that he hasn't done any better that he has at Texas. The Big12 is a bi*ch of a hoops conference as far as winning it (if you are not named Cheating KU) but Texas is a great gig for the right coach imo.

Tech is a good example. They were darlings of the conference last year. While they are young, they could be close to the cellar after this week's games against your Mountaineers and the Jayhawks. And with OU next week, they could be 3-6 in conference at that point. Then after they sink to the bottom, they have enough talent to turn itaround and just pollax a couple of the front runners.

Your schedule looks good though. Get Kansas and Baylor both at home in the 2nd round.

Cyclones beat K-State 73-63! Got off to a 21-2 start, got a little close in the 2nd half, but held on for the win. The best part was having Jon Sunvold (one of my favorites) back announcing in the Conference! Good old Big 8 guy - even if he did play @ Mizzou.

Anthony Grant had the same problem: Great at VCU and average at Alabama. Maybe, VCU is a pretty good place to coach!

I haven't been to an Iowa State Men's home game yet this year, but I did see them play @ Oregon State. Now, Haliburton is out for the rest of the year. Broke his wrist vs. K-State. Ugh! I'll probably go to either the Texas or the Texas Tech game. Maybe both. Just been a sucky year at Iowa State.
