Can’t you say that about many of the fringe top 25 teams?

I'm just saying, I'm sure I would catch some shit if I said Arizona would be ranked at some point next year.

They finished well behind Nebraska in efficiency, and they had three losses by 4+ scores while Nebraska was only beaten like that once while playing in a significantly better conference. Frost is also a better coach and he has a more talented team. Do I need to go on?

Nebraska was slightly better in offensive and defensive efficiency. Nebraska was much better in ST. That's kind of my point though. Nebraska was minimally better on offense and defense than Arizona was, and here you are doing exactly what I said you'd do. And I don't think sumlin is great or anything, but at least he's managed a top 5 finish in a P5 league.

You're joking right now, right? Arizona played in the worst division in the P5, for starters. Also, Arizona played one - ONE - ranked team last year and lost 69-28. The next best team they faced was Utah, who was just outside the top 25, and they lost 42-10.

Nebraska faced four - FOUR - ranked teams last year, all of them on the road. They lost to #3 Ohio State on the road by 5, they lost to #14 michigan 56-10 (only blowout loss of the year), they lost to #21 NW by 3 in OT, and they lost to #25 Iowa by 3 on the last play of the game.

These two teams are not comparable.

They actually were comparable in terms of offense and defense. However, not in ST. But like I said you're doing what I thought someone would do.

Hell take Zona out of it and throw in teams like USC, Texas Tech, Colorado and Wake Forest and my original point still stands.

Your original point might stand if any of those teams were being considered a legitimate top 25 team this year like Nebraska almost universally is.

Clearly Nebraska was a significantly better team towards the end of the year, so them having momentum makes sense. Frost has proven to be a successful coach, and his young QB made great strides from the beginning of the year to the end.

And those programs have just as much unknowns as Nebraska does.

Didn't both teams play Colorado last year?

So they both are not ranked as of right now.

Yes, they are basically the same in that poll. But me bringing that up earlier is crazy, or something.

Congrats on finding this evidently end all/be all poll. Funny, that poll also has Iowa rated higher than Iowa State. But didn't you say Iowa beating them would be an upset because Iowa State would be ranked higher? Can't have it both ways, eric...

It isn't. And no I said Iowa beating ISU would be an upset because isu would be favored. Which they will be.

But probably not though.

So what was your point in posting that ranking?
