Seriously .. what would a preseason Top 25 list look like without Texas A&M and Michigan in the top 10. I'm 55 and I can't recall A&M doing jack shit in my lifetime other than that one Cotton Bowl when they had Manziel.

the media loves big schools with passionate fan bases. Texas A&M fits the bill. they were pretty good between the mid 80s and late 90s. Other than that, they haven't done much throughout their history. They've had some good years here and there, but they've also had extended down periods.

Well, if you are 55, then you have to remember the Jackie Sherrill and RC Slocum years. They won a number of SWC Championships during that time and were consistently in the Top 10 to 15. I definitely remember their "Wrecking Crew" teams with dudes like Quentin Coryatt and Aaron Glenn. Their 84-95 teams were solid, and always a tough out.

Losing a lot along both lines and a few other pieces too. We might slip into the preseason top 25, but seeing a 13 next to our name is laughable.

On another note, Norvell is one hell of a coach. As an alum and now local I watch a lot of ASU football and that dude was a really bright mind and tremendous play caller in Tempe. Then you see what he did at Memphis. It’s a good hire for you guys. Pretty sure you’ll get us next season on the blue. Better athletes and a coach that actually has a clue.

So... Tua’s coming back, the incoming Frey is better than Tua, and Tua’s little brother is also better than Tua if you listen to certain Bama fans.

No right now Tua is #1. Bryce Young will eventually be on Tua’s level, possibly better but that’s TBD. Tua’s little brother shows promise and would probably start at a lot of other P5 schools next year. Bama has an abundance of riches at QB. And I didn’t even mention Mac Jones who was the only QB to have his way with Auburn’s defense this year.
