I don't know Parenteau at all but for lots of the season Briere looked done. I wish him well but I understand the move.

I think briere will be a great fit in Colorado . Parenteau has potential he's got a scoring touch and is very good in shoot outs good stick handling needs to hit the next level

They've got plenty of cap space. Maybe they're hoping to move one of their centers to the right. They're pretty deep down the center and on the left, but not so much on the right.

Yeah, especially with teams like Buffalo, Florida, and Calgary having to spend quite a bit of money just to hit the cap floor.

Good move for tje Avs, shit contract traded for playoff experience, I like it.

PAP was nothing more than a product of JT and he proved his worth and it's definitely not what he's being paid

And speaking of being high, one wonders if the team in Colorado was when they made this deal. There's no shame in admitting it. It's legal. Helps you relax.

But it's not a good time to pick up the phone and make a trade, especially one that swaps these two guys. Parenteau had 14 goals and 19 assists for the Avalanche in 55 games. Briere put up 25 points in 69.

Basically, Parenteau is a better player than Briere right now. And yet somehow, the Avalanche felt the need to send along a draft pick as well, in exchange for weakening their roster
