Attention: fans of teams who hired a new HC this off season

What's your opinion on Lions DC Teryl Austin?
If your team interviewed him, did you hope he'd get your HC job?
Are you bummed, or fine with not getting him as your HC?
Do you think he's just a Rooney Rule guy?

Any more thoughts would be appreciated. In Detroit, Teryl Austin is obviously very popular after leading our Defense to a top 3 unit two seasons ago. He's interviewed with nearly a dozen teams over the past two off seasons, but has not been offered a HC job.

Why can't this guy get an offer?

I'd rather have Austin as the Titans HC and let Mularkey focus on the offense and developing MM. That's for sure.

I've seen his name thrown around a lot. I'm sure he'll get his chance soon. Definitely one of the best coordinators around. The Dolphins interviewed him, but we got Gase. If we didn't get Gase, I think it would've been him.
