Just some of the things that stick out to me are 11-5 against the top 100 and 11-6 on the road/neutral. Their resume isn't great or anything, but when you compare it to say Rhode Island, who's right around the cut line, they have a better resume by about 2 seed lines IMO. IMO VCU will be a 9/10 so they would be one of the last 8/10 at larges to make the field IMO.
Edit* - I also don't think the committee has ever left out the outright winner of a top 8 league before.
The problem is that 11-5 is against mostly blah teams
Rhode Island is the clear more talented team. VCU looks like shit every game against A10 teams. I just don't see how this team is a at large "lock".
