It's crazy how many games there are in a baseball season... Were just past the halfway point, so anything is still possible... but with the Mariners unlikely...

Lou was the only manager that seemed to run a tight ship and get guy's playing with discipline .... We haven't had that since he left...

Lou was also great at managing the game and wasn't a freaking idiot. Guys like Servais, Wakamatsu, McLaren, etc, these guys made blunders left and right. Lou managed this team for 10 seasons, no one has managed to make it beyond 3 in the 15 years since and the way things are going I can't see Servais surpassing that number. Not that I'd want him to.

Servias pulls RP after 1 pitch in the 9th in a 5 run game, but allows other RP's to give up 4 or 5 runs in a close game before yanking him all year....huh?

Yeah, M's gotta stop going cheap with managers, they always go out and get rookie managers to save money and it's not a smart move... I realize every great manager was a rookie at one point, so they deserve a chance when there time is due, but sometimes you should pony up the dough and get a proven guy who's had teams in the playoffs ... I remember when we got Lou back in the day, I was SHOCKED!!! He was a proven really good manager just coming off a world series, that was very un M's like.. They did get Hargrove who I liked, and he had them playing better baseball, but I think he saw the writing on the wall, said bye bye ...

Shocker! A's have two on in the 9th in a tie game and they hit a double on an 0-2 hanging slider with 2 outs for a run.

We have Valencia up with no one on and 1 out and he swings at a 3-2 pitch that was 3 feet outside and in the dirt. Of course next batter hits a double to center which would have tied it... #TrueToBeBlue

in the past week, i've cut about $200 out of my monthly expenses. cut my normal cell coverage and switched to ting, and cut a bunch of other little things like my monthly subscriptions to to things like audible, spotify, etc. they add up quickly.

directv is next. m's games are literally the only reason i have it.

Thanks for the horrible 0-2 pitch Diaz. I can handle a 9 inning loss better then a 12 inning loss. This offense wasn't scoring anyway. They let a scrub 35 year old making his first start throw a

Cano and Seagar just kill the consistency of this lineup. Seagar now has the lowest WRC+ in the lineup at 93. cano is pulling the ball 40% of the time. his highest number in 7 years. His LD rate is the lowest ever and his GB rate is the highest ever. You wanna know why this lineup is so hit or Miss. Those two are the culprits

We need to fire sale:

Paxton (always injured), Felix (WHATEVER we can get fine), Cano (eat money), Cruz (actually should be able to get someone decent here), and Seager (can get some prospects) and just get as many prospects as possible and keep Haniger, Gamel, Segura, etc. and rebuild.

Sadly this franchise is not about building a Championship team, never has been. Oh well, another 'around .500' season with more of those to come.

Sadly my ONLY goal for the team every single year is to at least provide entertainment and some kind of excitement until players report to camp for football.

And sadly, once again they failed to at least do that. Of course they aren't mathematically out of anything, but they might as well be. This is a dead team walking.

1B & 2B with 1 out in a close game and Dyson gets thrown out at 3B trying to steal. Why?

He saw Ichiro ran the team and said bye, bye.

I don't think it was just Ichiro, had Lou been anyone outside of Lou I think he would've been fired several times. He was about the only guy that ever could openly criticize management just about every season and definitely have an odd relationship with Gillick. He might have but I don't really recall him ever being down on Ichiro.

It was 100% Ichiro. He wanted Ichiro to bat 3rd and do other things and Ichiro said no and ownership backed him all the way. Hargrove basically said I don't need this shit and left while in a pennant race and in good positioning. Believe me on this one it was Ichiro.

Oh, you're talking about Hargrove? I thought you were talking about Lou.
