Ugh... Bullpen is trying to blow it...
I wouldn't mind seeing him replaced at some point this season. He is a tight rope walkerThe Joel Peralta experience
I can't watch the game so I follow mlb tracker and even w/o seeing anything I was thinking the exact same thing.

The two homeruns Peralta gave up earlier in the season really irritated me. But his performance in the game last night was pretty good I thought. He had to face the meat of the batting order against a team that is desperate to turn their season around. The hitters were taking him deep in the count and he was setting them up pretty well. The pitch Springer hit for a double was probably the only bad pitch he threw in the entire inning. The pitch Correa hit to knock in Springer was a well located pitch that Correa just went down and got. That's what really good hitters do. The pitch sequences he used to retire Altuve and Rasmus were well thought out. It's still early and I usually don't like to call players out in April, but Peralta is making my hair more gray than it already is every time he comes in. What's worse is that, with Benoit on the DL, Peralta figures to see more action later in games with either a tie or a small lead. It scares me when he's brought in. Every pitcher is going to have an issue every once in a while, but it's become a trend with him already.

Mariners are in 1st place ! I think they deserve a trophy of some kind...
We're 12% into the season.
I think we should call it the "12% Trophy," and pretend it's roughly the same as a division or league pennant.
Photoshoppers of the M's board, make it real.
