April games count, last I checked..

"its only April" would be a good excuse if they were only a few games back.

But they dug themselves a serious hole.

Sure, they "could" dig themselves out...but the odds are against them..

scal i don't disagree with anything you just said. yes they dug themselves a hole. yes april games count too. the team that is in first place right now is coming to town for 3 starting tonight. if the blue jays start winning series things will take care of itself. can it be done yes.. will it be hard hell yes. but it's not like it can't happen.

From "juggernaut" to ....let's pray for one of the 79 wild card spots.

fucking joke ...but good luck tonight, I need three days of scorched earth!!

who's praying for a wild card spot.. not me. i still think they win the division. all i am saying is the wild cards help the cause for the jays getting into the playoffs

are they going 5-0 the rest of the week pete.. have some balls. go out one the limb.

NO - I didn't predict 5-1, dirt did

Have some balls?! fuck you dick!

I am here every day - right much more than wrong.

You are hoping for the greatest comeback in MLB history and it's one month into the season.
You still have not had the balls to say - wow, some of what I ignored and PeteNYC said about the Jays is spot on.
so, here is my prediction.

At the end of the week and 6 weeks into the season, the OLD PATHETIC INJURED YANKEES will be many games ahead of the JAYS.

That prediction was looking great. Until mid September. :frown:

Right!!!

but two years later, Boston fans are throwing a parade in April!

well, not a real parade because fear of lone wolfs and all...but a verbal parade.

like there is no RECENT history of that team being a fast starter and a very very very slow finisher.

Plus, the season doesn't really start until Els pulls a vigina muscle and is on the DL for a month.

Yeah, I think VP is reaching a bit to try and say that nobody predicted the Jays would at least compete for a Division title.

20 out of 43 = not many? That's almost half, and you're just talking about Eee Ess Pee Enn's analysts.

Clearly they have not met expectations up to this point, but equally clearly, lots of people jumped on their wagon in the spring. The only ones who didn't were obstinate yankee fans who can't quite realize that their time has passed.

I have no idea what you're talking about

I didn't say "nobody picked the Jays". Heatwave did

He was humping the "all the experts said this and this" meme all offseason

Heat, they ARE Not winning the division.

No team has ever come back from that big a hole - and they aren ot behind one team, they are LAST! They would need the Sox, Yanks, Baltimore, Tampa to all play under .500 ball while they play over .600 for the remainder of the year.

I know you are not smart and as a Jew, I am good with numbers- so let me help.

This doesn't happen in baseball.

Enjoy the season.

You're right. No one should talk about the Sox. Just the Yankees. Go Yankees!

Yankees' time has passed?

You write as though the organization is a has-been prize fighter like De La Hoya or something.

Pretty sure the Yankees will be just fine going forward.

1- "i know where lawrie will be on opening day, in the line up, can't say that about Jeter and Granderson"

2 - The yankees catchers won't have half as many HR's as MArting

3 - Melky in that line up will rake

4 - unlike the pathetic USA team, Dickey will get run support from the juggernaut Jays offense

5 - Reyes is poised for an amazing season, look out AL East

6 - Morrow is better than Hughes

7 -Romero will be on the opening day roster

8 - Mark Burhle is good

9 - Josh Johnson is healthy and better than Phil Hughes

10- CC is old and injured

11 - Kuroda had one good year

12 - Pettitte is old and done (go ahead and hump on start and ignore 5)

13 - Gibbons is a great manager for this team

14 - Becuase the Marlins sucked doesn't mean the same guys in new uniforms will suck

15 - Bautista is not a cheater and a clubhouse cancer

16 - Getting on base is not important to scoring runs and winning games

17 -Mariano is coming back from surgery and will not be the same player

18- Scorched Earth starts NOW

19 -Scorched Earth starts Now

20 - Scorched Earth starts Now

21 - something magical is about to happen

22 - it's early

23 - Jays are back to winning ways (after their one and ONLY series win)

anyone else want to jump in?

pete do you know the meaning of predictions and making statements ??
first off i've never said gibbons was a great manager for this team. and anyone here who agrees with that is flat out lying. i always said i wanted sandy alomar jr. when reyes left.. please site what his stats were and tell me he wasn't and still isn't poised for a great season. a lot of things on your so called list of failed predictions aren't even predictions they were statements. do you know the difference?? there you go again with you "gotcha moment" and you look like a complete idiot as always :laugh3::agree::lame:

Heat, is Romero still in AA?
I know it was only cause it was warm, not cause he sucked...so now that it is warming up, he is with the AAA team, right?

or can we add that to 3001?
