I am happy for how Walker turned around his season, but be realistic to the fact that he throws 98% fastballs on first pitch trying to get ahead and then really only has one other pitch to get batters out. As long as he throws high 90's he can survive, but MLB hitters will catch up with him like Gattis sitting on 1st pitch.
WOW... Was looking for a movie on Demand and got caught up in that 2nd inning where we tied it... We've got a game on our hands - not going to watch a movie now...
Walker w/ 8 K's thru 4 innings...
Cruz breaking his cold spell of 20 games w/ out a HR...
Hopefully Walker can go a little deeper into this game... I won't want to see the bartender... He's allowed 11 of the 12 runners he inherited to reach home plate since he's come back from his injury...
If McL puts him in with runners on base, then he isn't paying attention...
Walker has been looking great. As I mistakenly posted in the other thread thinking that was the game thread, it's interesting how the Mariners pitchers seem to be able to make effective adjustments (see Paxton and Walker) yet none of our hitters seem able to manage that.
